The most recent pictures she took on vacation, in which she was wearing a white bikini, went popular on the internet. In addition to that, she has appeared as a model and collaborated with the well-known actor Suriya on an advertisement for a popular brand of cookies. After that, Arjun asked her to play the main part in his production of Madrasi, which took place in 2005, and Vedhika agreed to do so. Due to the fact that the film focuses on Arjun’s actions, her part did not receive much attention, and one reviewer deemed her performance to be passable.

After the success of the film Madrasi, Vedhika signed a contract for a high-budget Hindi language film titled Jai Santoshi Maa, which was a remake of a film of the same name that was released in 1975. She first gained widespread recognition for her performance as Angamma in the 2013 Tamil film Paradesi, which was her breakout role in the industry.
