Officer R. Sreelekha is the First Lady Officer of the Indian Police Service from the state of Kerala. She is a member of the Indian Police Service. In addition to being one of the most devoted officers and authors, she has also held the position of managing director for several public sector companies in the state of Kerala. During her time working with the CBI, she was known by her colleagues as “Raid Sreelekha.” Before she started working with the police, she was a lecturer at Vidhyadhi Raja College. R. Sreelekha became the first woman to serve in the Indian Police Service in Kerala in January 1987 at the age of 26. As soon as she started working for the police force, she was promoted to the position of District Superintendent of Police in three different districts: Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, and Thrissur. Additionally, R. Sreelekha served as a Special Agent in the Central Bureau of Investigation for a period of four years and also held the position of DIG in New Delhi. After that, she was elevated to the position of Deputy Inspector General of the Ernakulam Range, and in 2005, she was assigned to the position of managing director of the Kerala State Cooperative Rubber Marketing Federation.
She was promoted to the position of Inspector General of the Crime Branch in addition to her appointment as managing director of the Roads and Bridges Development Corporation of Kerala in June of 2007.R. Sreelekha was an extra Deputy General of Police for the Armed Police Battalions and also assumed extra responsibility for Training. After that, she was promoted to the position of ADGP in the Vigilance division on February 15, 2014, and she was then stationed there. Later on, she was offered positions in a variety of fields, and because to her success in those roles, she now holds the position of Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services in Kerala.
