In the Kannada film Akira, Krishi Thapanda made her first appearance on the big screen playing a character named Lavanya. Leading parts in the film Akira are played by the actors Anish Tejeshwar and Aditi Rao. According to Krishi, the first movie she signed for was Kahi; nevertheless, Akira was the one that was released first, and the debut actress was mentioned in the film.
