Her first roles were in the Tamil films Vanna Kanavugal (1987) and Chatriyan (1990), both of which she played the role of a child actress. Meenakshi College for Women awarded her a diploma upon completion of her studies there.Following that, she was a guest on the stand-up comedy show known as Asatha Povathu Yaaru.
