In the film Album, which was released in 2002, she made her acting debut the same year as a child actress. She played the role of the Lead actress’s sister in this film. She was quite good. She also played the role of a juvenile version of the heroine in the critically acclaimed and commercially successful film Jayam. Reshmi went with her buddy to the audition that Prakash Raj was holding for the Happy Days remake that was going to be made in Tamil. During the process of auditioning, Reshma Menon was chosen.
