Indian Carnatic musician Mahathi is also a playback singer who has contributed her voice to films in a variety of Indian languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and others. She made her debut with the Tamil song “Enna Maranthalum,” which was included in the film “Kaadhal Jaathi.” Ilayaraja was the composer of the song. The next year, she made her debut in the Telugu film Paruvapu Vaana, which was a part of the movie Bheema. Harris Jayaraj was the director of the song. In addition to this, in the year 1994, the Central Government of India granted her a scholarship for the study of Classical Music. At the age of ten, she gave her first concert, which was a Carnatic performance, all over the world.

She began her career as a Playback singer in the year 2003, and her first performance was a duet song called Iyyaiyyo Pudichirukku with Hariharan. The song was created by Harris Jayaraj for the Tamil film Saamy, and it featured both of their voices. In addition to that, she has sang for all of the most well-known music directors, including Ilayaraja. She was also a judge on a number of singing competition reality series on television, including Vijay TV’s Airtel Super Singer and Airtel Super Singer Junior.
